About the guild
A guild for digital craft
For centuries, guilds have brought together the people who share a craft. They set the standard for the work, trained apprentices into masters and looked after their members. The Guild of Digital Craft does the same for people who make things with digital tools — programmers, 3D artists, photographers, animators, designers and filmmakers.
Too much of the modern world is skimmed. We scroll, glance and move on, and the deep, patient thought that good work depends on is being lost. A skill — a craft — needs composed thought: time to understand the problem, practise the method and care about the result. That kind of thinking is part of what makes us human, and it is what a real skillset delivers.
The guild exists to keep that way of working alive and to pass it on. Members learn from each other, mentor the people coming up behind them and hold their work to a standard they are proud to put their name to.
